Before I go on with the story, it's time for a little sharing time -
It would come as no surprise to those who know me: I share ... probably too much, way too often. I'm not good at being politically correct or at being political for that matter. More often than not, I say what's on my mind and have a very hard time holding things in, whether good or bad. I love having and making connections with people and I've learned the only way that can happen is to allow people to know you....and by "you", I mean "me".
The reason I'm saying all this: I spent some time this morning trying to decide whether or not to disclose the whole story. Normally this would be a no brainer; everything would be discussed: good, bad, embarrassing...no problem!
But this is different. The whole story involves my wife. Complexity has been added to the blog. A challenge. I must approach with caution. I must tread carefully.
--BRIEF PAUSE TO CONSIDER THE SITUATION--
And tread carefully I will! After a quiet moment of quiet deliberation, I decided that I don't want to write this blog if it's not honest and transparent.
So, before I start a new post I want to say: My beautiful wife Heather has been nothing but loving and supportive of everything I do. Occasionally it will take her a bit to get there, and rightfully so, seeing that I have very bad habit of doing things without her knowledge (like buying another very expensive guitar, or investing in a "sure thing" only to it watch it crash and burn, etc.), knowing full well that she has asked that I include her in big decisions, and then ask for forgiveness after I get caught (She has a very bad habit of catching me).
I'm a very lucky man to have found someone who puts up with me and my ways.
With that, I'm going to go show her this entry before I post it....gain approval....and proceed with caution.
Oh...and if you're wondering about the picture. That would be Heather giving me the finger while I'm taking a selfie of us while she's having a contraction. My 2nd son Isaac was born 12 hours later.
